vScope can discover several network assets by using SNMP, such as printers & switches.

Requirements:

• The correct credential for the SNMP version.
• The vScope server needs access to the IP range.
  • SNMP Ports: (UDP 161), secure-SNMPv3 (UDP 10161)

SNMP v1 & v2c

For devices using SNMP version 1 or 2c you need to enter their community string in the SNMP credential. The default string is “public” in lowercase characters. Set up the IP ranges the devices can be found in as targets.

SNMP v3

Version 3 requires more credentials. Enter the correct ones and add the correct IP ranges as targets.
